Are $1,000 dental implants too good to be true?

If you’ve seen ads for dental implants starting at just $999, you’re not alone. These offers are everywhere—but what services do they actually include? Are they real? Are they safe? Most importantly: will they solve your dental issues or leave you with major surprise costs later?

In this article, we’ll break down the truth behind low-cost dental implant offers and help you make an informed decision about your oral health investment.

What do $1,000 dental implants usually include?

How to spot fake or unbranded offers

In many cases, these offers are entirely fake — designed to lure people in with a price that no legitimate provider could offer for a full dental implant. If the advertiser seems untrustworthy, lacks a recognizable brand, or provides little information about the provider or practice, it’s likely a scam.

What’s often missing from low-price ads

Even when the offer is real, the advertised price often covers only the surgical placement of the implant post — not the full procedure. Here’s what’s often missing:

  • The abutment (the piece that connects your implant to your new tooth)

  • The crown (your visible, functional tooth)

  • The cover screw at surgery (a cover to keep food and debris out of the implant while it heals)

  • Consultations, X-rays, and CT scans

  • Sedation or anesthesia

  • Tooth extractions or bone grafting, if needed

When you factor in the full scope of care, a comprehensive single-tooth implant can range from $5,000–$7,500¹ — and additional costs may still apply. Find out more about what’s included in a full dental implant procedure from ClearChoice.

Why are some implant providers advertising these low prices?

Common bait-and-switch tactics to watch for

Offers can often serve as “bait”— enticing you to book a consultation. Once you're in the door, you may discover:

  • You’re not eligible for the advertised price

  • Additional procedures are required (and cost extra)

  • The materials used may be lower quality

  • Important phases of treatment are outsourced or rushed

Some providers break the process into parts, quoting the lowest piece only to add charges for everything else later.

Why transparency matters at ClearChoice

At ClearChoice, we take a different approach: full transparency from day one. We also encourage patients to review any advertised offers carefully to ensure they’re from reputable providers — if a deal looks suspicious or lacks a clear brand name, it may be entirely fake.

That’s why it’s essential to work with a provider who prioritizes safety, accuracy, and long-term outcomes.

What is included in a complete dental implant solution?

At ClearChoice, a full dental implant solution typically includes:

Diagnostics and treatment planning

  • Diagnostic evaluation (including 3D CBCT imaging) to assess bone quality and anatomy

  • Prosthetically driven digital planning and a customized treatment plan

  • Medical review (medications, health history) and case coordination

  • A single, all-inclusive quote and timeline provided up front

Surgery, restoration, and follow-up

  • Surgical placement of the implant(s) — whether for a single tooth, an implant bridge, or a

full-arch — with an approach tailored to your case

  • Abutments and restoration: same-day provisional (temporary) teeth when clinically appropriate, followed by delivery of the final restoration

  • Sedation/anesthesia as appropriate, post-procedure check-ins, and routine follow-up visits

  • One team under one roof, which helps streamline appointments and support predictable outcomes

Am I eligible for low-cost dental implants?

When low-price offers typically apply

Low-price offers are often only applicable if:

  • You’re most likely talking about a single-tooth implant — not a full arch.

  • You have adequate bone quality and no complicating medical conditions

  • You don’t need extractions or sedation

If you’re seeking full mouth restoration or have additional dental needs, those offers often won’t apply. ClearChoice offers a full diagnostic assessment so you’ll know exactly what treatment you need—and what it will cost.

Are there affordable options for full-mouth implants?

Yes. While full mouth implants can be a larger investment, ClearChoice provides transparent pricing and ways to plan for costs.

Bundled pricing and clear quotes

You’ll receive a single, all-inclusive quote with no hidden fees. Your quote typically includes the diagnostic evaluation (including 3D imaging), custom treatment plan, surgical care (including extractions when performed as part of the full-arch procedure), implant components, same-day provisional teeth when clinically appropriate, delivery of the final zirconia restoration, and routine follow-up visits.

Financing, single bill, and available programs

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers work with third-party vendors to provide financing options to help make payments more manageable. While ClearChoice does not accept insurance payments, patients receive a single, all-inclusive bill they may use to file a claim for potential reimbursement. Where applicable, patients may also qualify for Insurance Assurance² (up to $2,500 per arch for zirconia arches at participating centers) and a Lifetime zirconia warranty³ against cracks or breaks in the zirconia arch, subject to terms. Your prosthodontist will review what applies to your case during the consultation.

We also walk you through long-term benefits—like fewer replacements and better function—compared to non-implant options like removable dentures.

²Valid at participating centers only. Discount off fixed full arch dental implants, $2,500 per arch. Maximum discount $5,000. Not valid on prosthodontic appointments or for previous or ongoing work. Cannot be combined with other discounts. Discount taken off usual and customary fees. Contact your local center and show proof of insurance to claim your discount. ClearChoice is not affiliated with any insurance provider, and does not process insurance directly with insurance providers. If you choose to file a claim for reimbursement, you are solely responsible for all communication with your insurance company. Offer ends 12/31/2025.

³The Lifetime Zirconia Warranty applies to cracks or breaks in the zirconia arch only and not complications with implant integration or ordinary wear and tear. The warranty will be void if the patient fails to follow clinician care instructions, receives treatment outside the ClearChoice Network or is dismissed as a patient. Available in participating ClearChoice Dental Implant Center locations for treatment on or after 03/21/2025.

What are alternatives to full dental implants?

If implants aren’t the right fit for you, alternatives may include:

Non-implant options

Removable dentures — taken out for cleaning, typically the most affordable option
Dental bridges — fixed replacements for one or more missing teeth, anchored to neighboring teeth

Implant-supported dentures (removable)

Implant-supported dentures — a denture anchored to fewer implants for extra stability but still removable. We’ll help you compare all your options for missing teeth based on your goals, health, and budget

What should I ask before choosing a dental implant provider?

Pricing and scope question

  • What does your quote include?

  • Are there add-on costs?

Care team and outcomes

  • What happens if something doesn’t go as planned?

  • Who performs the procedure—and how experienced are they?

Asking the right questions can help you choose the right provider, leading to realistic and more predictable outcomes and peace of mind.

$1,000 dental implants FAQs

Why are dental implants so expensive?

A full dental implant at a ClearChoice Dental Implant Center includes advanced imaging, surgical planning, high-grade materials, and care from multiple specialists. The cost reflects quality, safety, and long-term function.

How can I get affordable full-mouth implants?

Look for bundled pricing, transparent quotes, and third-party financing. ClearChoice offers a streamlined, all-in-one approach with a limited number of appointments, no hidden fees, a clear, all-inclusive quote, and a single bill you may use to file a claim for potential reimbursement.

Does Medicare or Social Security cover dental implants?

Generally, no. Coverage varies by program and plan. ClearChoice does not accept insurance payments; patients receive a single, all-inclusive bill they may use to file a claim for potential reimbursement.

Are dental implants worth the cost?
