On September 29 of 2022 I had every tooth in my head pulled and replace 2 full arch replacements at Clear Choice Dental Implant Center. As one would imagine, this type of surgery is a significant financial commitment and quite frankly a bit terrifying on absolutely every level. Dr. Kato, Dr. Amenedo, and their entire team could not have done anything better throughout the entire process. Professional, knowledgeable, sanitary, caring, and compassionate are just a couple of words that come to mind. Having visited two other centers before visiting Dr. Kato, his initial consultation and diagnosis was the same as others. However, he gave me just a couple of extra details about my X-Rays that gave me the confidence to select him. Next Step - Schedule Surgery. Next Step - Wait. For me this was the most difficult part waiting for surgery. Every day I obsessed about what would happen. I had to schedule about 2 month out because I had some personal commitments that I had to work around. Surgery Day - You go in early, everyone is friendly, sedation happens, and the next thing you know you are in recovery. I cannot stress enough how comfortable I was during surgery. The cocktail they use for sedation is amazing. At the end of the day after the fine tune your bite, you go home with a full beautiful set of teeth. Recovery - Well I went to work the next day, spent a couple of hours on my feet, moved around. Was I in pain, NO. Was I a bit uncomfortable, YES. Was the discomfort manageable with Ibuprofen, Absolutely. I did not need to take any strong pain killers. Every day the level of discomfort is diminished. One of my biggest concerns during the first two weeks of recovery was eating . I didn't miss a meal. Consumed yogurt, protein shake, and a supplement in the morning; protein shake for lunch; and either a giant creamed soup or cheesy mashed potatoes for dinner. Did I love my diet, NO. Is it doable for a couple of weeks, ABSOLUTELY. After the surgery I had some minor swelling and very very very minor bruising. Had you not known that I had every tooth pulled and replace with permanently implanted arches - you could not tell by looking at me. The staff at ClearChoice in White Plains are a well oiled and well managed team. The treatment they provided exceeded every expectation I had. Updated 5/19/2026 - I was at Clear Choice this afternoon for my semi-annual cleaning. Scharlene has an amazing touch AND personality. I can actually say that I'm looking forward to my next visit and our next chat!

Hi Scharlene is very kind , patient and will make sure to asnwer any questions I may have and also offer any advice she has during my hygiene cleanings . She always makes sure eveything is ok during the whole process.
