ClearChoice® San Mateo, CA: Dental Implant Center

We have had such a wonderful experience with Clear Choice in San Mateo, and I really can't say enough good things about the staff. My father is elderly and has been experiencing increasing dementia along with a lot of physical and mental decline over the years. Because of that, the way someone speaks to him and interacts with him makes a HUGE difference. The front desk staff have always been so sweet, kind, and patient with him, and every technician we've had the pleasure of working with has been wonderful. Two technicians in particular, Estella and Cassie, have become familiar faces that my dad knows and TRUSTS. That means so much to us. He genuinely enjoys seeing them. They joke with him and make him smile, hold his hand kindly, and speak to him slowly and reassuringly when he's having difficulty communicating. They never make him feel rushed or embarrassed when he is struggling to express himself. Those little things may seem small, but they aren't small to someone in my father's situation. You can actually see the difference in him when he's around people he recognizes and feels comfortable with. He can feel genuine kindness, even when his memory and ability to communicate are becoming more difficult. They've also been incredibly understanding and accommodating as his needs have changed. Recently he's been having more difficulty swallowing and coughing because of excess saliva, and the staff have made sure the suction device is nearby so they can accommodate him if he needs it. That kind of awareness and willingness to adjust his care to what he needs in the moment means a lot to us. They've also been very understanding with scheduling and the realities of caring for an elderly parent whose needs can change from one appointment to the next. We have never felt like we're being a burden or asking for too much. Instead, we've consistently been met with patience and understanding. Cassie was wonderful with my dad today, and we've had the same positive experience with Estella on previous visits. I'm especially grateful that he has people there who he recognizes, feels safe with, and actually looks forward to seeing. As his caregiver, it gives me so much peace of mind knowing that when I'm bringing him in, he's being treated with not only professionalism, but genuine kindness, patience, AND dignity. Thank you to everyone at Clear Choice San Mateo, and especially to Cassie and Estella , for the way you treat my dad (and myself!) 💖. You may not realize how much those small moments of kindness mean to him and to our family, but they truly mean the world to us!! Highly, highly recommend this team!

Dr Fonseca and the staff were awesome. They became like friends to me instead of me being a patient. They fitted my implants very precisely and made sure I was pleased.
