Dr. Backer earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2007, graduating with Honors. While following her passion for learning and thriving for excellence, Dr. Backer relocated to the United States and earned her Master of Science in Dentistry in prosthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry. It was there where she was awarded the John F. Johnson Society Award for academic and clinical excellence. Dr. Backer loves teaching and served as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University School of Dentistry for three years.
In addition to being a key member of the team at the ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in West Palm Beach, Dr. Backer has participated in humanitarian efforts in Venezuela and has experience in pediatric and hospital dentistry. Dr. Backer is affiliated with several nationally recognized dental organizations, where she interacts with world-renowned colleagues and also keeps current in dental news, technology and practices. She consistently invests numerous hours and resources pursuing continuing education. Dr. Backer has been a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, John F. Johnson Society, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Backer is fluent in English and Spanish, and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, going to the beach and traveling.
