Dr. Justin Olsen earned his Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship from Utah State University in 2008. Dr. Olsen then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012 from the University of Southern California’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. He then proceeded to become a part of the National Capital Consortium, the sponsoring institution for all military Graduate Education programs, and completed his specialization in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2017.
In addition to being a key member of the team at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in San Antonio, Dr. Olsen has served in the United States Army Dental Corps as well as holding many other positions including serving as Staff Surgeon of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Brooke Army Medical Center and the Assistant Professor of Surgery at the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine.
Dr. Olsen has experience in educational activities as well, with his experience mentoring Oral Maxillofacial and General Dentistry residents in clinical and academic settings. Additionally, Dr. Olsen has also been published twice on topics that include platelet rich plasma use in management of late stage temporomandibular joint derangement and papillary squamous cell carcinoma of the hard palate. Moreover, Dr. Olsen has presented at various conferences both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Olsen is a participant in numerous professional memberships and committees. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as a member of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has also served on the Osseointegration and Implant Board, Dental Deformity Board, and Clinical Risk Management Committee along with many others.
