Dr. Garaicoa received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil. He won several awards due to his academic excellence and graduated top of his class in 2007. After that he went into practice and part time teaching at his alma mater until he left for his postgraduate studies in 2009. He then attended the Eastman Institute for Oral Health University of Rochester, NY for a 2 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. After that he completed a residency in Prosthodontics and Masters in Science at the University of Iowa in 2014. In 2015 he joined the Oregon Health and Science University as an assistant professor where he ran the Aesthetic and all ceramic restorations courses for dental students while he maintained a private practice in Vancouver, WA and Portland, Oregon focused in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. He later moved to Florida in 2021.
He is a research scholar for Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Prosthodontics Society. Dr. Garaicoa lectures extensively nationally and internationally.
He is married to his wife Maria and together they have two little girls. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Dr. Garaicoa loves life in general, he is in a permanent quest for self-improvement and the improvement of others.
