Dr. Thaler received an AB in Mathematics from Holy Cross College and Bachelor of Science degrees in Zoology and Science Education from the University of Maryland. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed a General Practice Residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and his Residency in Prosthodontics at the Naval Dental School in Bethesda.
In addition to being a key member of the team at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in Harrisburg, Dr. Thaler has served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy. He had a private Prosthodontic practice in Delaware for 18 years and has practiced in Pennsylvania since 1991. He has served on the faculties of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, Temple University Dental School, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Thaler has been a member of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, the American College of Prosthodontists, the Pennsylvania Prosthodontics Association, and the Academy of Osseointegration. In his free time, he enjoys family time, reading, woodworking, and triathlon endurance competition.
