Carlos Ugalde

Oral Surgeon

Dr. Ugalde earned his DDS from the Latin American University of Science and Technology in Costa Rica. He then went on to complete his Masters of Science and a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Ohio State University. He subsequently completed subspecialty training with a fellowship in cleft and craniofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Ugalde is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also holds an affiliate faculty appointment at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, practices in private offices, and has authored and co-authored multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectures nationally and internationally. His passion for excellent, personalized care means he takes the time to listen to and address patient questions and concerns.

He enjoys doing volunteer dental work and has provided free dental care at Mission of Mercy in Oregon and participated in surgery missions to treat underprivileged children with cleft lips and palates in Mexico and Guatemala.
