Dr. Aaema Athar has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, she completed an intensive three-year residency program in Prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh. During her residency, she completed a one-year surgical implant fellowship at the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute. She also served as the Chief Resident during her final year of residency.

In addition to being a key member of the team at ClearChoice Dental Implant Center in Long Island City, Dr. Athar is passionate about dental education and research. During her time at Pitt Dental, she helped teach dental students in several courses, including Undergraduate Prosthodontics, Craniofacial Genetics, Principles of Occlusion and Operative Dentistry.

As an active member in the dental community, Dr. Athar was the Vice President of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry, the Communications Chair of the American Student Dental Association, Vice President of Student Professionalism and Ethics Association, and the Secretary of the American Association of Women Dentists.
Dr. Athar carries similar enthusiasm when treating her patients, ensuring they receive all the care they need to regain their smiles.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and watching movies.
