The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting key HR functions across the entirety of the employee lifecycle to include Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations and HRIS. The HR Specialist is also responsible for completing administrative duties for the Human Resources Department and working closely with the entirety of the HR team on projects, as assigned.  The HR Specialist must be comfortable working within a matrixed, fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Strong attention to detail and data integrity are integral to success in this role. 

Human Resources Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and redirects HR related calls or email to the appropriate person.
  • Completes I-9 verifications for new hires at the home office. Supports the I-9 process for center managers as needed.
  • Assists with Benefits billing and administration.
  • Prepares expense reports/credit card reconciliations.
  • Assists with HR tickets, including change forms, transfers, on and off-boarding, etc.
  • Maintains personnel files.
  • Schedules meetings, lunches, HR events etc., as requested.
  • Coordinates training sessions, off-sites, and other HR related activities.
  • Performs clerical/administrative duties as needed (processing mail, filing, scanning, etc.).
  • Assists in preparation of EEO-1 reporting.
  • Pulls reports out of the HRIS system as needed to include monthly new hires and promotions. 
  • Assists with HR related communications in partnership with the HR team and marketing.
  • Assists HR Generalist with Leave of Absences to include return from leave, disability, and other leave administration duties.
  • Maintains the Employee Directory.
  • Assists in ad-hoc HR projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment/remote hybrid. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position typically working 40 hours a week. Occasional overtime may be needed with manager approval. 

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated range for this position is $ 24.00 – 26.50 hourly rate plus discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may vary based on experience, performance, and qualifications.
