DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT

The Director of Professional Support reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical Affairs, and works collaboratively with the company’s management team.

ABOUT US:

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers are a national network of dental implant centers founded in 2005 to provide innovative dental implant care to patients across the United States. ClearChoice has experienced strong growth over the years and today is a leader in the United States in providing dental implant treatments.  Driven by a collective desire to improve the lives of prospective patients, ClearChoice helps people reclaim their health, smile and confidence. Beyond restoring teeth, this is about people getting their lives back.  This mission-focused work has enabled the ClearChoice network to achieve four straight years of double-digit growth, yet we’ve only reached a small portion of the population who could benefit from ClearChoice services.  ClearChoice Management Services, LLC (CCMS) provides administrative practice management services to the ClearChoice network.  

Responsibilities are divided into four core functions:

  • Circulation and implementation support of best practices, proven network standards for business efficiencies, and the Ideal Week initiative, which shall include assisting the VP of Clinical Affairs in new staff/new center on-boarding, through staff training, creating tools and communication methodologies to facilitate the sharing of best practices, and providing inputs for the continuous refinement of the Ideal Week initiative.
  • Coordinating and assisting in the development of educational materials and activities by capturing, leveraging and sharing clinical innovations existing in the network.
  • Participate, along with the VP of Clinical Affairs and the Director of Research and Clinical Development, in identifying clinical innovations and new products, technologies and procedural services which may provide benefit to the dental implant centers.
  • Provide support and training for the ClearChoice expansion and launch programs, including providing the perspective of a dental practice owner and operator.   This will include supervision of Field Support Specialists.

Details relating to the core functions of the position are as follows:

Circulation and implementation support of Best Practices and Ideal Week:

The Director of Professional Support participates in staff training around best practices that have been developed and shared within the network and/or codified in the Ideal Week initiative. Other initiatives may include but not be limited to:

  • Leverage technology (e.g. Internet forums, WebEx, newsletters, etc.) for the dissemination of optional techniques and other information.
  • Site visits: Review/understand variations in the techniques and practices employed among the various centers and share these approaches for discussion among the Clinical Advisory Board.
  • Training: The Director of Professional Support will work closely with the VP of Clinical Affairs and the Sr. Director of Practice Management to implement training initiatives. These activities will include but not be limited to:
    • Supervision of Field Support Specialists.
    • New Center and new staff on-boarding.
    • General Dentist training: Assist in developing materials and a training program to enhance the ClearChoice network by enabling the development of the general dentist community’s competency in implant dentistry.
  • Coordinating and assisting in the development of educational materials and activities by capturing, leveraging and sharing clinical innovations existing in the network.

The Director of Professional Support will assist the VP of Clinical Affairs in developing and implementing educational resources for the benefit of the ClearChoice network. These materials/activities will include but not be limited to:

  • New Center Education: Assist in the development of training materials (didactic and video) for new Center staff and manage the activities of the Field Support Specialists in this regard.
  • Continuing Education: Assist in the development of continuing education materials and activities to support the ClearChoice network. 
  • Provide management support to provide CE credits for all applicable programs.
  • Participate, along with key ClearChoice Management Services personnel, with identifying clinical innovations, new products, technologies and procedural services which may provide benefit to the dental implant centers.
  • The Director of Professional Support will work closely with the VP of Clinical Affairs, the Director of Research and the VP of Dental Laboratory Services to continually evaluate whether CCMS should introduce the network to new technologies or recommend expanding/changing service offerings. The Director of Professional Support may also be involved in product evaluation, and/or recommendations for, and implementation of, clinical trials to evaluate new technologies or procedures for the benefit of the network.
  • Provide Support and Training for the ClearChoice expansion and launch Programs including new technologies.

The Director of Professional Support participates in supporting the ClearChoice expansion initiative and center launch support. Support and training may include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting leadership development in the Center
  • Implementing Rainmaker training and improvements in the consultation process
  • Circulating best practices and Ideal Week
  • Launch training and support including pre-launch, launch, and post launch support. This includes ongoing support with Centers to help drive continuous and sustained performance and improvement.
  • Supervise and manage the position of Field Support Specialists.

Qualifications:

Passion for the mission of ClearChoice and the individuals served at ClearChoice network centers

Required Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, DDS or DMD degree, and dental license in good standing in at least one state required 
  • 5+ years of clinical experience including implant reconstruction
  • Executive DSO experience is desirable, but not a requirement

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to work in an office environment at his/her own and other’s desks/offices as well as on site at the various dental implant centers, but may be eligible for hybrid work consistent with company policies then in effect
  • Regularly required to travel (approx. 65-75% of time) to the various network dental implant centers and associated vendors.
  • Standard five-day work week (Monday – Friday), although additional days will be required from time-to-time to accommodate training programs, doctor activities and conferences.

The Director of Professional Support will not perform any clinical care on any patients at any dental practice in his or her capacity as Director of Professional Support.  The Director of Professional Support will only provide direction to clinical employees in a manner which is expressly approved from the duly licensed dentist responsible for the applicable dental practice.  To the extent the Director of Professional Support practices dentistry on patients at his or her own dental practice or other similar entity, such activities shall be wholly outside the scope of this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

$175,000- $200,000 base compensation DOE

In addition to your base compensation, depending on position, you may be eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus (potential bonuses are merit based). Medical Insurance Coverage, Dental Insurance Coverage, Vision Insurance Coverage, Retirement Plan (401K) options are provided as an additional benefit of employment with ClearChoice.
