Position Summary

ClearChoice is looking for a hands-on development leader for our growing Information Technology consumer application development Team. The Application Development Manager’s (ADM) role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise the activities related to the design, development, and implementation of ClearChoice’s consumer facing web & mobile applications. The ADM is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide the development team and work closely with Business Units and Program Managers on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the continued success of ClearChoice’s organizational software applications, specifically our Patient Portal (ClearChoice Connect) & our consumer facing website ClearChoice.com
  • Transform design specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language
  • Provide workday production support, including troubleshooting, problem correction, testing, and promotion to the production environment
  • System change management, product release management and continuous improvement processes to maximize system utilization
  • Analyze root cause of application issues and facilitate resolution by coordinating with vendors, internal IT and users as appropriate
  • Leverage the MuleSoft IPaaS platform for continued internal and external system integration, ensuring our business systems operate as a collaborative unit, using REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to create technical designs and address defects
  • Manage cross dependency risks and issues with other teams
  • Lead and provide direction to a team of up to 2-3 direct reports
  • Support the hiring, training, and continued professional development of direct reports
  • Assist with goal-setting, provide regular and timely feedback/recognition; providing support and coaching as needed
  • Ensure staff have the tools and resources necessary to effectively perform their day to day responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience 
  • Experience with the React (Next.js) & React Native Frameworks
  • Hands-on experience building modern web apps using CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
  • Experience using version control (Github) in a distributed environment
  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform native tools, including Cloud Build and Cloud Run
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tooling and practices (Github actions, CircleCI)
  • Problem Solving: highly motivated self-starter with a passion for finding improvements and creatively solving problems
  • Time-management: demonstrated ability to work autonomously, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Communication: communicate effectively and confidently with Product Managers, key stakeholders, & end users
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex business processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce modules (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities and Knowledge)
  • Expertise with Salesforce development and modern programming standards and techniques including the APEX language, Lightning Experience, Force.com custom development, triggers, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, Pub/Sub API, outbound messaging and creating Visual Force pages
  • Knowledge of native app development, including publishing applications on Google Play & Apple App Store
  • Experience with the Contentful API-first composable content platform
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Experience with managing a small team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Setting up change and release management processes to ensure delivery of a quality product to all stakeholders
