Alfonso Monarres, DDS, MS
Prosthodontist
Dr. Monarres received his Dental Degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila in Torreon, Mexico. He then completed his Prosthodontic specialty training, a Master’s Degree in Biomaterials and a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the School of Dental Medicine of the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Monarres is Assistant Professor of the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a member of the following professional organizations and societies: American College of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, American Prosthodontic Society, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Monarres is former President of the Texas Section of the American College of Prosthodontists and current Regional Director of the American College of Prosthodontists. He lectures in the United States and Mexico on topics related to Implant Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
