William R. Phillips, DDS, MD
Oral Surgeon
Dr. Phillips received his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997. He then went on to obtain his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, after which he completed an intern year in general surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the VA hospital. He then returned to Dallas and finished his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Baylor College of Dentistry and Baylor University Medical Center. Since completing his residency in 2003, he has maintained a private practice in Dallas, Texas.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he specializes in the treatment of diseases, injuries and malformations involving functional and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth and facial regions. His practice is focused on providing surgically advanced dental implant techniques.
He is currently an attending surgeon at Baylor University Medical Center, where he is involved with the training of residents in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Baylor College of Dentistry. He is also a clinical professor at Baylor College of Dentistry in the undergraduate Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department where he is involved in the teaching of dental students.
Dr. Phillips is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is an active member in the local and national associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentistry and Medicine. He has served on the board of directors of the Dallas County Dental Society along with being editor of their newsletter. In addition, he has held multiple officer positions in the local Oral and Maxillofacial Society. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
